The community centre at WSCC is a hub for local organisations to operate from, with flexible multi-purpose spaces for a broad range of programs. It enables organisations within the Penrith community who are helping challenged and vulnerable locals the opportunity to expand their programs and operate within a state-of-the-art building close to all local amenities.
WSCC is proud to provide a permanent home to two of Penriths’ most prominent not-for-profit organisations; Panthers on the Prowl and WestCare. The community centre will provide these charities with improved resources and a larger space from which to continue delivering crucial services to the local community.

WestCare is a locally based, not-for-profit and registered charity, driven by a compassionate desire to make a difference in Penrith. Since 1977, WestCare has serviced the Penrith community by passionately pursuing the vision of ‘local needs met by local people’. They focus on domestic violence support, men’s mental health, emergency service relief and providing support to local social workers and disadvantaged members of the community.
For over twenty years, the team of qualified and dedicated teachers at Panthers on the Prowl have provided meaningful education and healthy development opportunities for students in the wider Penrith area who are at risk of disengaging from school. Their programs are designed to improve resilience, self-esteem and levels of physical and mental health.
